The idea of writing a spy novel had apparently been in Fleming’s mind for a decade before he finally decided to commit the book to paper. Little did he know the phenomenon he was about to create when he sat down behind his typewriter on the morning of 15 January to start the first chapter of Casino Royale.

He knew the plot and the characters; he had been thinking about them for years, deliberately noting aspects of people he had met, especially during the war. He would type 2, words five days a week for six to eight weeks. He would work in the mornings and under no circumstances stop to look anything up. In the evening he’d make corrections. On the shelf in his study was the book that had gifted him the name of his hero, Field Guide to Birds of the West Indies, by the ornithologist James Bond.

Fleming told Leonard Mosley, a contemporary at The Sunday Times, that he had created James Bond as the result of reading about the exploits of the British secret agent Sidney Reilly in the a

Around 4 p.m. on January 7, , the year-old English actor landed at Galeão Airport and went straight into character. Once the flight&#;s passengers disembarked, extras boarded the plane, and the star, fully made up and dressed in a light suit, filmed the scene where Bond arrives in the city.

Malaysian father and son bond over Green Day

Concerts are often seen as spaces for the young and carefree—a chance to let loose with friends. But for Joshua, 29, a recent Green Day concert in Malaysia was more than just a night of music.

It was a chance to reconnect with his father, James, 58, through a shared passion that had shaped their lives for decades.

For Joshua, this was not a spur-of-the-moment idea. Music had always been their common language.

Growing up, his father filled car rides with the sounds of Blink, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, and, of course, Green Day.

"He also loved playing Boney M and Bob Marley. We’d listen to radio together every time he drove me to school, tuition or organ classes," Joshua told Sinar Daily.

James, now retired, has an unwavering love for music. His hobby room is packed with CDs and cassettes, a nostalgic tribute to his punk rock roots.

"My dad’s favourite Green Day songs are Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) and Wake Me Up When September Ends. Mine are American Idiot and Boulevard Of Broken Dreams," he shared.

The concert, according to the duo, was an unforgettable experience.

"It was one of the best concerts I’ve ev
