تعارف
اردو ادب کے افق پر برصغیر کے بہت سے ستارے جگ مگا رہے ہیں جن میں سے ایک اسرار الحق بھی ہیں۔اسرار الحق مجاز ۱۹ نومبر ۱۹۱۱ کو قصبہ رودولی ضلع بارہ بنکی میں پیدا ہوئے ان کا نام اسرار الحق ہے اور ان کا قلمی مجاز ہے۔
حالاتِ زندگی
لکھنؤ کی مخصوص تہذیب اور شعر و ادب کی سرزمین ہونے پر ان کو لکھنؤ سے اس قدر لگاؤ ہوا کہ اپنے تخلص میں لکھنؤی جوڑ لیا اور مجاز لکھنؤی کے نام سے مشہور و معروف ہوئے۔ آپ کا تعلق جماعت کے ذہین طالب علموں میں ہوتا تھا ۔ابتدائی تعلیم رودولی کی ایک درسگاہ میں ہوئی۔ پھر وہ لکھنؤ آگئے جہاں ان کے والد محکمۂ رجسٹریشن میں ہیڈ کلرک تھے۔
مجاز نے لکھنؤ کے امین آباد کے ہائی اسکول میں میٹرک کا امتحان پاس کیا۔ چونکہ والد کا تبادلہ آگرہ میں ہو گیا، مجاز بھی آگرہ آئے اور ۱۹۲۹ میں اٹھارہ سال کی عمر میں آگرہ کے ایک کالج میں انٹر میڈیٹ میں داخل ہوگئے۔ آگرہ میں سائنس کے موضوعات لیے کیونکہ انہیں انجینئر بننے کا شوق تھا۔ جس محلے میں مکان ملا تھا وہاں مشہور غزل گو شاعر فانی بدایونی پڑوس میں رہتے تھے۔
ء میں علی گڑھ مسلم یونیورسٹی سے بی اے کر کے ء میں دہلی ریڈیو اسٹیشن سے شائع ہونے والے’آواز‘ کے پہلے مدیر ہونے کا شرف حاصل ہوا۔ کچھ عرصہ تک بمبئی انفارمیشن ڈیپارٹ منٹ میں بھی کام کیا اور پھر لکھنو آکر ’نیا ادب‘ اور ’پرچم‘ کی ادارت کی۔ اس کے بعد دہل

A big religious figure of the sub-continent. He was a writer ~ religious teacher, orator, translator and commentator of the Holy Quran. master of the science of religion and religious law, authority on Quran, Hadees and fiqh, corrector of bad customs, guide to the seekers of rikr. and a reformer.
After memorising the Holy Qur'an in the 10'h year of his age and after completing his early education he took education from Dar-ul-Uloom Deoband, and later became there the teacher of Hadees, and then became the member of its advisory committee, and finally became its patron. He was the disciple of Sayyid-ut-Tuaifa Hazrat Haji Imdadullah Thanvi Muhajir Makki R.A&#; (b. Safr 22, HIJanuary 2, d. Jamad-ulUkhra 13, H/October ).
He is specially famous for his disciplined life. Seekers of spiritual guidance crowded round him and his circle did spread very vast, so much so that government made a railway station in his small village, Thana Bhavan, where he lived in his khanqah.
