The founder and president of Heartfelt International Ministries, Apostle Tavonga Vutabwashe, on Friday night launched his debut publication, Promoting the Value of Women, at a colourful ceremony held at an upmarket lodge in Harare.
In an interview on the sidelines of the launch, Vutabwashe said teachings contained in the book were based on his experiences and observations. “There are so many misinterpretations about the Bible and women, so I wanted to address those misconceptions,” he said.
Vutabwashe said it was unfortunate culture often exalted men while demeaning women, who are often regarded as subservient and dependent on men.
After realising a woman’s intelligence was often viewed as arrogance, he realised he needed to write a book.
